These terms apply to the Klavia Marketplace (marketplace.klavia-piano.com), where creators share piano scores for the Klavia app. Using the marketplace is free of charge.
1. Operator and scope
The marketplace is operated by the operator of Klavia named in our Impressum. These terms apply to browsing, downloading and — with an account — uploading scores. The terms of the Klavia app itself are available at klavia-piano.com.
2. Creator accounts
- You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
- Provide a working email address and keep your password secret. You are responsible for activity in your account.
- You can delete your account at any time in “My Music” → “Account”.
3. Your uploads and your rights (important)
You may only upload scores that you created yourself, that are in the public domain, or for which you have the rights holder’s permission to distribute them free of charge. Arrangements of protected works need the permission of the rights holder. By uploading you confirm that this is the case and that the upload does not infringe the rights of others.
You keep all rights to your content. You grant us a simple (non-exclusive), free, worldwide licence to store your scores, to show them with their details in the marketplace and in the Klavia apps, and to let users download them for their personal practice — for as long as you keep them published. Copies that users have already downloaded may remain with them.
4. Downloading scores
Scores are provided for personal, non-commercial practice. Respect the rights of the creators and rights holders; do not redistribute scores commercially or claim them as your own.
5. Not allowed
- Content that infringes copyright or other rights of third parties.
- Unlawful, offensive, discriminatory or pornographic content, and advertising or spam.
- Files that are not sheet music, or that try to harm users or our systems.
- Attempts to circumvent security measures, overload the service or access other accounts.
6. Moderation, reports and removal
Anyone can report a score with the “Report” link. We review reports and may hide or remove content, and suspend or delete accounts, if content or conduct violates these terms or the law. The first upload of a new creator is reviewed before it is published. We explain our decisions to the affected creator on request.
Rights holders can also send notices to contact(at)klavia-piano.com; please name the score (link) and explain your rights.
7. Point of contact (Digital Services Act)
Our single point of contact for users and authorities is contact(at)klavia-piano.com. You can write to us in German or English.
8. Availability
We provide the marketplace free of charge and without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability. We may change or discontinue features. Keep your own copies of your scores.
9. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health. For slight negligence we are only liable for breaches of essential obligations, limited to typical, foreseeable damage. Liability under the Product Liability Act remains unaffected. We are not responsible for content uploaded by creators, subject to our duties after we become aware of it.
10. Changes and applicable law
We may update these terms; we will inform registered creators about material changes by email. German law applies; mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence remain unaffected. These terms are available in German and English; in case of doubt the German version prevails.
